Following a career in the RAAF and Army over 14 years, Trent left the military to enter the private sector. Through additional study in project management, Trent executed major capital projects for a number of clients in the mining, oil and gas and construction sectors. After relocating to Perth in 2010, Trent was involved in the Gorgon Gas project through GE Oil and Gas.
At the end of the Gorgon project, Trent undertook a Bachelor of Laws at Murdoch University and was then admitted to the Supreme Court of the ACT and the High Court of Australia as a Barrister and Solicitor. During his study at Murdoch he was awarded the academic award for excellence in Legal Theory and Constitutional Law.
After completing law, Trent consulted to tier one mining clients to execute major capital projects across Australia. After being made redundant from Fortescue, he now consults to the mining, heavy industry and construction sectors.
Trent holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Graduate Certificate of Dispute Resolution, Graduate Certificate of Chinese Law, Graduate Certificate of Australian Migration Law and Practice, Graduate Diploma of Project Management, Executive Masters in International Oil and Gas Leadership and Master of Legal Practice.
